What is atrophic vaginitis?

Atrophic vaginitis is a disorder that involves thinning of the vaginal walls and decreased lubrication, resulting in increased vaginal dryness and inflammation.

It is caused, fundamentally, by a decrease in estrogen, which is the main female sex hormone, being a very common problem in menopausal women (50% of women with menopause suffer from vaginal atrophy), influencing both their sexual functionality and their quality of life. Symptoms can be felt for years, as long as appropriate measures are not taken.

The reasons are diverse and may have their origin in small sequelae of infections, in an atypical morphology, congenital malformations or, simply, in the apprehension of penetration.

Vaginal atrophy is a more common problem than you might think, affecting women of all ages, although with a higher incidence in women after childbirth or during breastfeeding. However, the highest number of cases is detected in postmenopausal women, affecting one in two.

Vaginismus is a vaginal constriction of the pelvic floor that causes discomfort, burning, pain, problems with penetration, or a complete inability to have sexual intercourse.

Solution

The INTIMICHIC silicone dilator allows you to exercise and gradually dilate the vaginal canal. At the same time, it allows you to lose the fear of penetration through small daily exercises. How is INTIMICHIC DILATOR used?

First, apply a little water-based lubricant to the entrance of the vagina (about the size of a chestnut) and massage gently for 2 or 3 minutes.

Next, take the smaller INTIMICHIC DILATOR element. Also apply lubricant to the tip in the same proportions.

Then, start pressing it gently and gradually into the vagina. If you notice any dryness, add lubricant.

You can continue exercising for 10 to 15 minutes, making small rocking movements. It is important to keep in mind that contraction of the vaginal muscles is unfavorable, so if it occurs, the exercise should be stopped.
